| The American Indian Community House (AICH) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving the health, social service, and cultural needs of Native Americans residing in New York City.
AICH was founded in 1969, by Native American volunteers as a community-based organization, mandated to improve the status of Native Americans, and to foster inter-cultural understanding.
Since its inception, AICH has grown into a multi-faceted social support agency and cultural center with a staff of 35 that serves the estimated 27,000 Native Americans in New York City.
AICH membership is currently composed of Native Americans from 72 different tribes. Native American migration between urban centers and reservations demonstrates the inter-relatedness of all Native Americans, and from this reality emerges the recognition that our issues and concerns are truly shared.
The AICH philosophy is that solutions can be shared as well, AICH provides programs in job training and placement; health services referral; HIV referral and case management services; and counseling programs for alcoholism and substance use.
AICH also sponsors programs in cultural enrichment through a performing arts program and the first permanent Native American gallery in New York City.

| ABOUT US
The Indigenous in Music program was developed to support Indigenous Musicians. After we did our research, we discovered that our Indigenous Musicians were not getting the exposure needed to get into the mainstream music scene. The IICOC started the ?Indigenous in Music? Brand.
Our goal is to develop and market our brand to the American Indian Casinos, Communities, Fortune 500 Companies, etc. We will provide Music and Entertainment to the general public. We will promote our Indigenous Musicians and Entertainers.
Both a presenter and producer, Indigenous in Music values the diversity of cultural expression and traditions, fosters the preservation and advancement of diverse musical genres, creates a sense of welcoming and belonging, enhances the enjoyment of life, and celebrates community with programming events.
MISSION
The Indigenous in Music mission is to:
Develop, organize, promote and administer a comprehensive, coordinated music and entertainment program.
Provide music and entertainment for the general public within the limits of the funds made available for that purpose.
Promote and encourage all music and entertainment activities of a public nature.
